i only stopped the app when i was not using it. resources unavailable? i'll wait for my hbs backup to complete, then run the assistant to clear ram then try again later. sending all processes the KILL signal and exiting. Anyway fortunately i did not have too many of these, and it only takes up 5gb or less i estimate, but i got plenty of space to spare so no urgency to dig deep to clear space just yet anyway it's a really good app for finding duplicate files, glad i found out about itĬode: Select all starting dupeGuru. what would have helped for these situations would be deduplication feature to reduce file space (which we don't have ). some folders contained duplicate images by necessity, i left some of those. but still i could manually filter out the mistakes without issue. it's probably those releases where you have extended music track etc. doing that i cleaned up dupes of lower quality images of the same file *must have been doing some image editing with extra copies hanging around even if the image, video etc had a different filename, it could still detect similar media which was very nice there were some mistakes, like it would say a music file was the same, but when you see the duration it's different. i can also open the media to view what it is. it shows 2 or more suspected similar files side by side, with file size (and if it's a music or audio the duration as well). INSTRUCTIONS FOR DUPEGURU PICTURES WINDOWSalso setting up dockuser also was the same anywhow, the program on windows is quite effective. cause i did input guid etc exactly as cmd outputed return value. i'm not sure that it is a permission rights issue. But when i then also try browse via the Ui to the exact same video directory path, the scan still says there is nothing to scan for very odd. but the weird thing i discovered is the file browsing still allows browsing the root of the NAS, rather than where i specified the storage location is. and the storage for dupeguru explicitly mentions where the files for guru to scan are located. so yeah, like the config area would be in a location like the appdata share to isolate container apps run in container. trash rw This is where duplicated files are moved when they are sent to trash. storage rw This location contains files from your host that need to be accessible by the application. Code: Select all /config rw This is where the application stores its configuration, log and any files needing persistency.
